FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
December 18, 2019
InBloom Autism Services announced today their updated list of participating health plans as many families enter the open enrollment period heading into the new year. The updated list, provided by InBloom's Director of Contracting Kate Rager, has more-than doubled in size from the previous list, and looks to help InBloom reach additional families at even more affordable prices for their ABA therapy needs in 2020.
"Not only can we reach more families as a participating provider, but the existing families we work with will have a lesser financial impact. Although we've been able to accept many PPO plans in the past, choosing an in-network provider is always more affordable than choosing an out-of-network provider," said Rager. "Into 2020 we plan to continue with new payor contracting, and more specifically the smaller local plans. We've already partnered with the "Big 4" (Aetna, Anthem BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, UnitedHealth), and are ready to work on Phase 2, which will be some of the additional smaller network plans."
The updated participation list and the states they are accepted in is below:
Arizona - Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
Colorado - Aenta, Anthem, Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
Connecticut - Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
Florida - Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
Massachusetts - BCBS, Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
New Hampshire - Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
Texas - Aetna, BCBS (PPO Plans Only), Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
Wisconsin - Cigna, UnitedHealth/Optum
InBloom Autism Services has also worked hard to expand their ability to accept state-funded healthcare resources, as that list has expanded over the course of 2019. Additionally, the organization has been in-network with Tricare East, a contract that was secured earlier in 2019, and covers ABA therapy services for military families in the InBloom service areas in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, parts of Texas, and Wisconsin.
"We also plan to expand our Medicaid participation into 2020 as we did in 2019. We are now accepting Medicaid in 5 states (Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin), with an additional contract currently in process in New Hampshire," said Rager. "The state of Texas also plans to roll out an ABA Therapy mandate for Autism Spectrum Disorder next year, and we are very excited for the impact this will have for families who have been waiting years for ABA therapy services throughout Texas."
